Forensic evaluations serve a vital purpose for immigration cases, especially for clients who have experienced trauma. These services are particularly important for immigrants who are seeking status through Asylum, U‐visa, T‐visa, VAWA, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status and Cancellation of Removal.

Forensic evaluators work closely with the immigration attorney(s) to aid immigration courts in a number of ways, by providing evidence of trauma in asylum seekers or in victims of human trafficking, or by assessing competency to participate in immigration proceedings, or risk for violence.
