“Hiring Licensed Psychologists – Contact Us Today”

Court-ordered therapy is not the same as therapy you choose. The court sets the goal, receives the reports, and decides when you’re finished. Knowing that up front makes the process considerably less frustrating.

FC PsychExperts delivers court-mandated treatment for Clearwater clients and across Pinellas County, whose cases are heard in the Sixth Judicial Circuit. Our licensed therapists coordinate directly with family courts, probation departments, attorneys and child welfare agencies.

Orders We Commonly Work With

  • Family law matters – high-conflict divorce, custody disputes, allegations of neglect or abuse
  • Criminal cases – domestic violence, assault, or substance-related charges
  • Probation and parole – as a release condition or in mitigation at sentencing
  • Child welfare – where a parent must show progress before custody or visitation is restored
  • Addiction and recovery – where substance misuse sits underneath the legal issue

What The Therapy Is Aiming At

Compliance is the floor, not the ceiling. The sessions are built to produce:

  • Accountability – taking ownership of choices and their effect on other people
  • Behavioral change – addressing root causes rather than managing symptoms
  • Emotional regulation – practical tools for stress, anger and reactivity
  • Healthier relationships – communication, trust, and reading other people accurately
  • Documentation the court accepts – attendance, engagement and progress, properly recorded

Methods

We match the modality to the order and the person. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for entrenched thinking patterns. Anger management where impulse control is the issue. Substance use counseling. Trauma-informed treatment where earlier experience is driving current behavior. EMDR where indicated. Parenting support for clients working toward reunification.

The Five Stages

Initial assessment. Customized treatment plan. Structured sessions. Legal reporting. Completion and aftercare.

The reporting stage decides whether the rest of it counted. Courts need specific things in a specific form, and a therapist who hasn’t worked with the Sixth Circuit may produce notes that get sent back. We’ve been reporting into Florida’s circuit courts since 2008.

Confidentiality

Your sessions stay confidential within the limits of the order. The court receives attendance, engagement and progress. It does not receive a record of what you talked about. That boundary is what lets the work happen.

Clearwater And The Surrounding Area

We also provide court-ordered therapy in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville and Naples.

Clearwater clients frequently also need a forensic psychological evaluation for the same case. Nearby, we serve Largo and St. Petersburg. For voluntary treatment see our therapy services.

Sessions are available in person and virtually, with flexible scheduling for clients balancing work and court obligations. Get in touch to book an initial assessment.
